Static Line traces a route I walked in the Himalayas. As per my walk, the painting was made from right to left, based on topographical photos and drawings I made whilst there. At nearly 4000m of altitude the vegetation reduced and the ground took on the qualities of a hostile desert. The light was wonderful and clear, but with every inch gained in height the temperature plummeted and the air thinned. It was a tough but beautiful place to be.
