I made this small painting in response to what I have seen to be the catastrophic affect of humans on our natural habitat. This mountain, simultaneously animalistic and tank-like, clashes with the acidic green background, a colour of human origin and the colour of my (temporary) studio walls at that time. It was produced very quickly, with a feeling of urgency, the diminutive scale reflecting our dominance over the land, and the isolated position denoting its vulnerability.
